Wah Cantt—A 40-member delegation of China Cultural Heritage Foundation (CCHF) visited Taxila Museum and ancient Taxila University at Julian. The delegation was led by Ms Geng Ying, Chairperson and Secretary General of CCHF and the daughter of late Geng Biao, former Chinese Vice Premier.
On their arrival, Curator Taxila Museum Nasir Khan briefed the delegation about the history of Gandhara Civilization, various stupas, statues and other artifacts in the museum. The members of the delegation lauded the Pakistan Government for preserving sites related to Buddhism and maintaining Taxila as one of the prominent places for Buddhists.
Talking to newsmen Ms Geng Ying, Chairperson and Secretary General of the CCHF praised the Pakistani government for up keep of Gandhara culture. She urged the Pakistani government to publicize its treasure and organize exhibition its treasure to fetch religious tourists from Pakistan.
