Importantly it shows that they can keep their word and that the date or the occasion is of particular importance and matters to them. Being punctual and not having an attitude that it does not matter and that you can show up late is not a sign of respect.
It also helps to build trust and confidence in the dating relationship by keeping your word. If that individual cannot keep their word, then you will at some time question if the individual can be trusted. If you or your date are unable or unwilling to keep an agreement early in the dating process, then mistrust will foster. So without trust, you must consider your position and there is little point in getting to know more about the person.
The quality of speech conveyed between you and your date should be good because it also reflects a lot about an individual. Speech will give a very good indication of education status and ones attitude. It affects how you are perceived by others and reflects on you and your dates' potential as partners and prospective parenting.
Speech is a form of expression that pronounces who you are. If your speech is poor, it will reflect poorly on you and will have a negative effect on the person whom you are dating. Using improper speech also means you will have difficulty communicating properly. If you or your date are unable to communicate properly then others can easily take disadvantage of you, making both you and your date vulnerable.
